New Grill!

Super stoked to finally admit that over past summer I purchased my very own Weber grill! I've been using the bottom portion of my Weber smoker with a rack over it as my grill for almost 2 years, and finally pulled the pin to get an actual grill!  I went with the Weber 26" Premium charcoal unit and almost 6 months later I am still super stoked about it!

Look at this beast!

Look how fresh that goddamn grate is!

It's so beautiful! it brings a tear to my eye!

And the lid goes on smoothly and isn't dented so the seal is messed up!

Such a fine piece of art.

So I bet you're wondering..  How big of a steak did you buy to break this baby in!?  Porterhouse? Ribeye? Tomahawk!?  Actually, you can cook a hella good steak on a tiny little Weber Smokey Joe - you don't need a hella huge grill to cook a hella huge steak. I got this big bastard to cook a lot of stuff at once, and I wanted to see it in action! So I decided to break the grill in with some chicken tenders, sausages and some veggies!

The best part about a grill this big is that you can build a hot spot to work with, and then you have all these non-hot spots that you can use to keep things warm while you prep other stuff! I got the chicken done, and then worked on the sausages - the chicken just chilled out on the side staying warm!

I was also warming up a piece of smoked pork that I had worked on before - nice and salty and peppery. (that's the little thing on the bottom that doesn't look like any of the other things - lol)

Then it was time to do the veggies! I got a nice little grill pan to get the job done! Asparagus and some lemon chunks!

And the big reveal!

It was such a piece of cake to cook this huge plate of food and it was a great time breaking in my new grill!

What a meal! Yum!
