Hella Good Brunch Stack

I am actively trying to lose a little weight, so I am not doing absurd meat projects quite like I used to. But, I did go off the radar for a solid year, so I did comb back through my camera roll and find a couple fun things you might like. For this post, I'm going to share with you, the 'Brunch Stack'. The Brunch Stack only needs a few things in order to happen; Eggs, Bread, some kind of meat, and something to make it 'extra'. Here's a pretty sweet stage by stage assembly pictoral of a Brunch Stack I had last year.

Start with your favorite plate. This is your blank canvas on which the stack gets built.

Then it's time to drop the foundation into place - a well toasted, buttery piece of bread in this case, that I cut with a fancy cookie cutter to make it super sexy.

With every layer of the Brunch Stack, it's all about inserting flavor in between to add interest and excitement. In this case, I dropped a fat shmear of Trader Joe's garlic spread. Super good stuff.

Now it's time for my ingredient to make things 'extra'. My hipster inner self was screaming for avocado!

Not the best looking avocado, but whatever - it's all about that creamy delicious texture, to add a nice unctuous quality to the next layer - meat! In this case, I had some left over ground beef and threw together a nice little cheese burger patty!

Then it's time for the crown jewel - a sunny side egg with some salt and pepper.

This of course, needs some sauce! I used some of Neal's hot sauce - great stuff!

Any normal Brunch Stack would end here, but you know we have to make things crazy, so it's time for another round of meat! I had some pulled pork laying around - so boom!

And of course, that needs some sauce on it as well! BBQ sauce!

But hey now, let's get some more avocado on there!

Gross avocado again!

let's cover that with another egg!

And more sauce!

Then I dusted it with flavor!

Here's another angle!

Now it was time to dig in! Stacks collapse quick, but they collapse into a pile of flavor!

So, you see - they're not hard to make, they're fun! You add whatever you want, and they look awesome and taste good too! Stack that brunch!

Cheers!
