Yeah, I dropped the hard E at the end of that title – because I bossed this evening out with some of those $6.99 NY STRIPS outside, on the grille in 34 degree weather.
What a lot of Buffalonians do, is not care about weather like this. Our blood is thick, some people might even wear shorts in this weather. I am perfectly fine outside for up to 20 minutes at a time in just a hoodie in this weather. There is snow on the ground, and no one cares. Let’s grill. I’m still loving this Dash’s market $6.99 strip steak special that seems to still be on. I couldn’t resist. These 4 strip steaks were $15:
YAH – $15.
I hit them with some truffled olive oil, then a heavy dose of kosher salt and some fresh ground pepper – then it was off to the grill.
Can you hear it sizzling?
Oh my looooord – thinner ones go on the side to wait:
I’m actually getting grill marks these days – can you believe that!
Time to bring them in –
Oh boy oh boy – look at those babies.
Time to whip up a salad while they rest.
Now – let’s see how I did.. I usually cook with the sous vide, but tonight I wanted to test my skills and see if I still had what it took to grill a steak to perfection without the training wheels..
